Condemnation of Israel’s Actions: In May 2024, Cantona posted on Instagram, questioning the world’s stance on Israel’s attack on Rafah, which killed at least 45 Palestinians and injured 250 others. He wrote, “Is there anyone left to defend these criminals? Is there anyone left who would not condemn the criminals? Are there still states that still arm these criminals? Is there anyone left who would not call this a genocide? Is there anyone left who would not shed a tear in the face of such horror?” He described Israel’s actions as a “genocide” and expressed outrage over the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

Condemnation of Specific Incidents: In August 2025, Cantona condemned the killing of Suleiman Al-Obaid, a Palestinian footballer nicknamed the “Pele of Palestine,” who died in an Israeli airstrike at a Gaza aid distribution center. Cantona wrote on Instagram, “He was named ‘The Pelé of Palestine.’ HOW MUCH LONGER ARE WE GOING TO LET THEM COMMIT THIS GENOCIDE??? FREE PALESTINE,” reinforcing his stance against Israel’s actions.
