OFF Investigation is an independent investigative media outlet founded in late 2021 by Jean-Baptiste Rivoire, former deputy editor-in-chief of the Canal + show “Special Investigation” and an investigative journalist.
Driven by a strong spirit of independence and a taste for irreverence, our team mobilizes its expertise, ethics, and rigor to deliver quality investigations. Since September 2024, Off-investigation has also strived to offer you increased coverage of current events. Our goal: to actively contribute to exposing the mechanisms of domination and submission that permeate the French political and media landscape.
Today, all television channels are wary of investigative reporting. In private groups, it has long since been squelched in favor of social issues or “continuous news.”
After Emmanuel Macron eliminated its license fee, public broadcasting, the last bastion of investigative reporting, may find it even harder to do so. When a story is deemed too “political” or too “sensitive,” it tends to be sidelined for fear of the wrath of the executive branch.
OFF takes responsibility for investigating disturbing topics. Our investigative articles and documentaries strive to shed light on the political and financial issues brewing behind the scenes of the Republic.
